Because it made me happy

I looked over at our wall of brightly colored artwork from the boys and it made me happy, so I thought I'd share it with you.

I was feeling a little nostalgic about B's mohawk, so I had a little fun. I think it suits him.

Are you a Gingerbread Ninja?

V came home from school saying that he had joined a club while in art class. What club is this? The Gingerbread Ninjas. From what I can gather, all you need is one of these gingerbread men with your name on the back.

 

This is another project V brought home. I thought it was fun to see how he described himself.

Thanksgiving weekend

For Thanksgiving, we were invited to an orphan dinner with some other families in our ward. The food was good, the pies were plentiful, and the kids got real dirty while playing in the leaves. It was nice having a place to go, since we couldn't be with family.

R was able to take some time off during Thanksgiving weekend, which was a great break for me after he had been out of town the week before. I even got a nap three days in a row!

On Saturday, we took the kids to the "rock and river" park. It has a stream, a playground and a rock garden that the kids like to climb all over.

It was another beautiful fall day and I am thankful that we all got to enjoy it together.

Lately, B has been so serious in all of his pictures. I take out the camera, and he immediately looks like this:

Sometimes I think that there isn't much difference between a baby and a puppy.

He cracks me up.

Loving fall

This year it seemed like fall was never going to come. I'm so excited that it is finally here, and it's been a beautiful year. I took C and B to Aldridge Botanical gardens one morning for a short "hike." The air was crisp and the sun was filtering through the bright leaves and reflecting of the still water. It was a great day to be out.
