First Day of First Grade

I can't believe that V is already in first grade. One of his friends had the same teacher last year, so when I asked him if his teacher was nice he replied, "Yes, A already told me that." I guess if A says it, then it must be true.

I'm glad that V still loves school. He gets so excited to show me all the things that he's done everyday. He starts telling me everything before he even gets in the door.


Sadly, C is very upset that he doesn't get to go. He asks me every morning if he can go to school that day. At dinner time when we ask V about what he did at school, C makes up stories about all the things that he learned at school too. Mostly it's about rhinos and giraffes. Don't worry C, you'll be in school all too soon.

C sings his ABC's

V has been teaching C the ABC song. He doesn't quite have it yet, but he sure tries. The end is real cute.

4 month update

Baby B is already 4 months old! He weighs in at 17 lbs. 3 oz. and is 25.5 inches long.

A quick comparison: he weighs as much as V did at 6 months and C at 9 months. (Poor little C).

He's still a chunk. Just look at all those rolls:


Sadly, he has lost most of his hair, so no crazy mohawks for awhile.


He loves to watch everything.


And smiles whenever spoken to.


He is slowly discovering his hands.


And his feet.


He drools a lot and chews on everything.


He likes to play with his tongue.


And can do cool tricks like folding it in half.


He loves to spread himself out. No swaddling for him.


Don't you want to just squish those thighs?


Overall, he's a happy kid and we enjoy having him in our family.
