Mom would be so proud

I remember Mom getting upset with me for buying a man's wallet instead of a purse. (In my defense, I still use that wallet). However, two children later, I have reconciled the fact that I need something somewhat larger.

I found this free pattern online and figured I'd give it a go. It went together quite easily. The only thing I'd change would be to put some interfacing on the top band of the bag.

R said it was way too girly and I would never use it. He's half way right. It is way more girly than what I usually go for. However, I use it all the time as it fits a travel wipey case, a diaper, my cell phone and wallet. What more could you ask for?

A refashioned shirt...

R had this shirt that he really liked.

However, this shirt had an unfortunate accident that left parts of it dissolved. (R + lab work = clothes not have a chance).

I decided to take it apart and make a shirt for C. Apparently, the pattern was designed for a rather large 18 month old. It is now V's shirt.

I should have tried this with cotton first, as this rayon blend was difficult to work with. Oh well, use what you have, right?

Can you tell that I told him to hold still?

League night

R and I joined an Ultimate league here in Birmingham. I let V have the camera to kept him occupied. Here are a few of his shots:

Saturday Ultimate

We have finally got a regular Saturday Ultimate pick-up game going at Patriot Park. It's been fun meeting new people and playing our favorite game. The boys love being outside too, so it's win-win for everyone.

V was so proud that he had climbed this tree all by himself.

"Look how high I am Mommy!"

Fun at the park

Just thought that I'd share...

Apparently, our doctor is poor

V had to get immunized in order to register for Kindergarten. While waiting in the doctor's office, he started to get nervous about the whole getting shots thing. I tried to cheer him up by saying that perhaps he would get some cool band-aids. Unfortunately, the doctor only had the boring brown ones. After the doctor left:

V- "Why didn't she give me the cartoon band-aids?"

me- "Maybe she didn't have any."

V- "Maybe she doesn't have enough money to buy the cartoon ones."

me- "Maybe."

The many faces of C

Here are some pictures of C. He wasn't too happy, but cute none the less.
