C was dead set on having a Spiderman cake...until that morning when only a T-Rex would do. After a quick change of plans, this is what we ended up with:
He seemed pretty happy with how it turned out. Do you like his 'party hat'?
I don't think C quite got the whole birthday concept. He claimed the blue present. The rest of us could choose from what was left.
The cake and ice cream must have tasted good.
C would open each present, say "I want this," and then run off to play with it. We had to convince him to open the rest.
C playing with the gift that V picked out. It was funny to see how quickly V volunteered to 'help' C out with each of his gifts. Luckily C was more than happy to share.
We love having C in our family. He has a way of bouncing through life that makes me smile. He can disappear in a moment, only to reappear with a "Mommy I'm right here." He has great determination and can get into and onto anything. He can scowl with the best of them (I've personally seen him practice), but is always ready with a smile. He wants to be just like V, even pretending to be him while he's at school. And he still likes to snuggle with his mommy. I'm glad that we had a day to celebrate all that he is.
